SPINACH SOUP

 SPINACH SOUP

                    Soup is a primarily liquid food, generally served warm or hot (but may be cool or cold), that is made by combining ingredients of meat or vegetables with stock, or water.

Ingredients

● Spinach - 450gm 

● Butter - 60gm 

● Cream - 150ml 

● Cornflour - 30gm 

● Nutmeg - a pinch 

● Salt and Pepper - to taste


Method

1. Cook spinach in a little salted water until tender.

2. Pass through a sieve.

3. Melt butter. Cook flour in it for one minute.

4. Gradually add spinach purée and some hot milk if necessary.

5. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.

6. Stir in cream just before serving. Serve with croûtons of fried bread.
